1. I'm wearing purple Crocs with Royal Stewart tartan patterned socks and a man's Hawaiian shirt with palm trees and surfboards on it. I would give the ladies on "What Not to Wear" nightmares and I like it that way. ;p

2. I can see model planes flying outside my office window. Sometimes I get the little helicopters confused with the big ones flying at the Air Base just beyond.

3. I found out Wed. at the dr. I have superficial thrombophlebitis.*

4. There is a DBZ poster on the cube wall behind my monitor at work; it was my coworker's son's and she brought it in for me because he was going to throw it away. Also a Goku alarm clock, because my kids were toddlers at the time I got it, and figured out how to turn the very obnoxious alarm on over and over and over....

5. My second toe is longer than all of my other toes, but my third toe is still longer than my big toe.

6. I just recently got my family into Geocaching - [link] - but we've only found three caches so far. I'm thrilled to see there's a ton of them right near my home and work! A good excuse to get out and go for a walk!

7. I hate beets. There is a picture of me at about six months old, spitting out beets down my chin. My father never remembers this and keeps trying to get me to eat them.

8. I love sea hares - basically a big purple marine slug. I like to pick them up and hug them if they're big enough. This is a strange thing because I am not fond of the big brown slugs in the backyard; they creep me the F out. I still won't kill them though.

*Not serious at all, just an inflamed varicose vein. Sounds like I should be in a nursing home, don't it. :granny:

I tag, ummm....wow, I don't have that many people watching me, I'm more of the watcher, but:

I already have a journal here [link] , so you can check that one for updates (I do post friends-only entries occasionally - you'll need an LJ account and to friend me there to read those).

I am only a doodler - a marine biologist by training, so I hope people like what they see here. I was intimidated for awhile by the quality of stuff showing up on the main page, but I see there are other amateurs here, so I'm jumping in.

I'm trying to do something creative on a more regular basis, and like my journal, I hope getting a little feedback inspires me to keep up with it. ;)

I also photograph my spouse's works for his page, since he is a woodworker. Check out his stuff too at :iconsumsquared:

Lookie! I made:

Heh... I'm reading what you're wearing and thinking, "What's wrong with that?" I'm wearing Dr. Scholl's sandals, denim shorts and a vintage men's Primo Beer aloha shirt in screaming aqua! You could see me thirty miles away... in the dark! I've been wearing this shirt for over 10 years and I have no intention of stopping until it completely falls apart! I also have one in fire engine red, too! Sorry, I don't really do tags anymore, but I had a lot of fun reading your answers!

Not a problem - I always feel a little funny asking although I don't mind being asked myself. I wasn't really expecting anyone to respond.

One of my favorites shirts is bright purple with gold dolphins, and not tasteful little dolphins either, but big garish drawn-by-a-three-year-old dolphins. ;)

I'd probably still be doing tags if I had the time, but I'm so busy these days, I don't have a lot of time to spend on dA, so I'd actually rather spend it looking at art and commenting, stuff like that. I hardly even update my journal anymore, thought I try to keep my Features box current! This whole "having to work for a living" is really putting a cramp in my lifestyle!

I love really unique aloha shirts. I used to have a huge collection of them, but they threatened to take over my house, so I had to thin it out to just a handful. My favorite was one that featured every tourist landmark in San Francisco! I loved that shirt and was so sad when it finally got too threadbare to ever be worn again!

By the way... I really love your Venture Brothers sig! Brock Sampson is one of my favorite characters!

thats so interesting! I looked at that link and saved it! I'm going to check this out once I find time.

I'll try to do this tag once I get the chance but I wanted to reply to your journal just so you know I noticed and all! Curious... Aside from your job, do you have a saltwater tank? I love fish and the ocean! I cannot wait until the summer!
Not a problem - anytime, if ever. It was several weeks until I got to it myself.

I'd been hearing about Geocaching for several years, but it wasn't until I got an email from a fitness site I'm a member of suggesting it as a way to get out and moving. When I found there were a couple on either side of my office, I grabbed a co-worker friend of mine who has a handheld GPS for her project (she needed to practice using it anyway) and we sussed them out on our lunchtime walk. It was pretty cool finding the first one!

I tend to get mine when they appear at the local drug or grocery store in the summertime, when they're only $10. Unfortunately, lately they've been really ugly and made of polyester. Ick. Although, I have to admit one of my favorites - [link];pid=341787&sid=bBO65houz4 - is a polyester shirt. My dad picked it up because he knows I like dragons.

*Looks at your comment stats*
Wow, you are busy! Yikes, now I feel guilty. I'm spread out between here, LiveJournal, and Gather, and a few other places so my commenting here is a little thin .

I'm on LJ, too, but I haven't done anything with that account since... oh, December! I tend to spend all of my online time right here. I just love art so much... I really enjoy being surrounded by such talent! dA is the perfect place for me.
