Pickleweed and Sea Lettuce

Backlit pickleweed. I love how it's translucent and the afternoon sun makes it sort of light up. Sea lettuce is too, but since it grows in the the water it's just kind of forming a background. Salt marsh plants provide habitat for many small critters, inclucing the endangered Belding's Savannah Sparrow, which nests there and is closely associated with this marine environment.
